Four members of the Holy Cross men’s swimming and diving team were named to the 2026 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District squad, according to an April 7 announcement. Senior Zach Bubonovich, sophomore Griffin Casey, junior Austin Cutcher, and senior Jack Greiner received the honor for their achievements in both athletics and academics.
The recognition highlights student-athletes who excel in their sport while maintaining strong academic records. These selections reflect both athletic performance at championship events and commitment to studies across a range of majors.
Bubonovich completed his collegiate career as a school record holder in multiple breaststroke events. He placed tenth in the 100-yard breaststroke at this year’s Patriot League Championship and holds a cumulative grade point average of 3.64 as an architectural studies major. Casey finished tenth in three-meter diving at the same event and owns second-best scores in school history for both one- and three-meter diving; he maintains a GPA of 3.63 with a major in psychology.
Cutcher broke the school record this season in the 1,000-yard freestyle and stands among program leaders across several freestyle distances while carrying a GPA of 3.91 with double majors in accounting and mathematics. Greiner was previously named first team All-Patriot League and Academic All-Patriot League; he placed third or higher at several championship events this season, graduating with program records across eight different events while earning a GPA of 3.58 with double majors in economics and religious studies.
Holy Cross concluded its season with a dual meet record of five wins against two losses, finishing seventh overall at the Patriot League Championship.
The broader impact of these honors reflects positively on Holy Cross’s commitment to fostering excellence both athletically and academically within its swimming and diving program.
