Sophomore Josh Gentchos secured a silver medal in the men’s 200-meter dash at the NEICAAA Championships, which concluded Saturday in Boston. Gentchos improved his position from Friday’s preliminary round, where he qualified with a time of 22.09 seconds. In the finals, he finished second with a time of 22.12 seconds.

The Holy Cross men’s track and field team placed 17th overall among 23 schools, earning a total of 11 points.

Other notable performances included sophomore Lewis O’Connor finishing eighth in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 8:37.19. Sophomores Robert Foster and Jack Larkin both achieved top-20 finishes in the mile event; Foster took 15th place with a time of 4:20.95. Freshman Nic Oglesby finished seventh in the high jump after clearing a height of 1.96 meters.

The Crusaders will begin their outdoor season on March 27 at Bryant University during the Black and Gold Invitational.
