Holy Cross Richard L. Ahern ’51 Director of Cross Country and Track and Field Egetta Alfonso announced on Mar. 27 the Crusaders’ 2026 outdoor track and field schedule for both the men’s and women’s programs.
The announcement outlines a season that begins with split squads on Friday, Mar. 27, as select athletes will compete in the Inaugural Jaylin Rainford Invitational at Bryant University while others travel to the Raleigh Relays hosted by North Carolina State University from Mar. 27 through Mar. 28.
In April, Holy Cross will visit Storrs, Connecticut for the UConn Dog Fight on Saturday, Apr. 4. The following weekend, teams will again split up to participate in either the two-day Tufts Jumbo Invitational from Apr. 10-11, the Friar Invitational on Apr. 10, or the UMass Commonwealth Invitational on Apr. 11.
The second annual Jim Kavanaugh Legacy Invitational is scheduled to take place at Holy Cross on Saturday, Apr. 18 as part of Senior Day events.
May’s competitions include participation in Northeastern University’s Jay Carisella Invitational on May 2 and select competitors traveling to Durham, North Carolina for Duke Twilight meet on May 3.
The Patriot League Outdoor Championships are set for May 14-16 at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. The NCAA Regional Championships will be held at University of Kentucky in Lexington from May 27-30; qualifying athletes may advance to compete at NCAA Championships hosted by University of Oregon in Eugene from June 10-13.
