The Holy Cross men’s rowing team hosted Hobart, Marist, and Temple on April 18 at Lake Quinsigamond, competing in a series of races that resulted in three event victories for the Crusaders.
The regatta featured four varsity eight events. The top varsity eight boat from Holy Cross finished second to Temple with a time of 5:46.3. However, the second, third, and fourth varsity eight boats each secured first place in their respective races. The second varsity eight posted a time of 5:56.0, finishing three seconds ahead of Marist. The third varsity eight crossed the line in 5:59.5, maintaining a lead of over ten seconds against competitors. In the fourth varsity race, Holy Cross defeated Marist by nearly five seconds with a time of 6:15.6.
After racing concluded, the program honored its nine seniors—Kyan Chase, Charlie Farley, Kevin Greed, Nick Hessick, Wilson Langkamp, Stephen Meier, Collin O’Connor, Jack Petrus, and Ben Vieten—for their dedication to the team as part of senior day celebrations.
The next competition for Holy Cross men’s rowing will take place on Friday, May 1 in Ithaca where they will face Cornell University along with Oregon State and Pennsylvania on Cayuga Lake.
Lineups for each boat were also announced following the event.
