Holy Cross men’s tennis falls to Siena in road match

The Holy Cross men’s tennis team was defeated 5-0 by Siena in a road match held in Latham, New York on Sunday, February 15. This result moves Holy Cross to a season record of 1-6, while Siena improves to 3-4.

In doubles play, Holy Cross managed to secure one win as senior Patrick Ling and junior Matt Carlson earned a 6-4 victory at the No. 1 doubles position. However, Siena won two out of three doubles matches overall to claim the doubles point.

During singles competition, Siena swept all matches. Sophomore Ezequiel De la Plaza came close to securing a point for Holy Cross but lost both sets in tiebreaks with scores of 7-6, 7-6 at the No. 1 singles spot.

Looking ahead, Holy Cross will have several weeks off before traveling again to face Morgan State on Thursday, March 5.
