The Holy Cross women’s tennis team concluded its 2025-26 regular season with two defeats, losing to Loyola (Md.) on April 12 in Baltimore and then to Sacred Heart on April 14 in Worcester.

These results leave Holy Cross with a record of 3-15 overall and winless in Patriot League play. The matches also improved the records for their opponents, moving Loyola (Md.) to 3-12 overall and Sacred Heart to 10-9.

In the match against Loyola (Md.), the Greyhounds secured the doubles point after winning both doubles matches. Freshmen Phoebe Devine and Margaret Winiecki competed closely at No. 1 doubles but lost by a score of 7-5. Loyola (Md.) went on to win all singles matches, clinching a decisive victory.

Against Sacred Heart, Holy Cross again dropped the opening doubles point as SHU won at both No. 1 and No. 2 positions. In singles play, freshman Phoebe Devine was the only Crusader to earn a victory, winning her match at No. 1 singles by scores of 3-6, 6-4, and a super tiebreaker of 10-6.

Looking ahead, Holy Cross will travel to Lewisburg, Pennsylvania for the first round of the Patriot League Championship where they will face Lafayette on Thursday, April 16 at 3 p.m.
