The Holy Cross women’s tennis team lost a narrow 4-3 match to Southern New Hampshire on April 9 at the Sinnott Family Tennis Facility in Worcester, Massachusetts. The Crusaders’ overall record dropped to 2-13, while the Penmen improved to 10-5.

This result is significant as it reflects ongoing challenges for Holy Cross this season and highlights competitive play against non-conference opponents. Senior Ashley Zilora secured wins at No. 2 doubles and No. 4 singles, contributing key points for her team.

In doubles action, Holy Cross captured the doubles point by winning two out of three matches. Senior Maddie Hamm and freshman Hannah Flynn delivered a strong performance with a decisive 6-1 victory at No. 3 doubles.

During singles play, Southern New Hampshire won four of six matches to complete their comeback victory over the Crusaders. Freshman Phoebe Devine achieved a notable win at No. 1 singles with scores of 7-5, 6-7, and 6-4.

Looking ahead, Holy Cross will host Merrimack for Senior Day on Friday, April 10 at the Sinnott Family Tennis Facility.
