Holy Cross junior Kate Avitabile was named to the 2026 Academic All-Patriot League women’s lacrosse team, according to an April 29 announcement from the conference office. To qualify for this honor, student-athletes must be at least sophomores with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.20 and must be either starters or key reserves.
Avitabile started all 17 games for Holy Cross this season as an attacker and led the team in scoring with a total of 64 points, including 11 goals and a school-record 53 assists. She ranked second in the Patriot League for assists per game at 3.12 and eighth in points per game at 3.76. Over her collegiate career so far, she has accumulated 27 goals and 79 assists across 40 games, placing her third all-time in assists at Holy Cross. Academically, Avitabile maintains a cumulative GPA of 3.81 while double majoring in psychology and studio art.
The Crusaders finished their season with an overall record of seven wins and ten losses, going five-and-four within Patriot League play and qualifying for the league tournament for the fourth consecutive year.
Other members selected to the Academic All-Patriot League Team include Natalie Aiosa (Boston University), Maggie DeFabio (Navy), Gracie DeSimone (Colgate), Brigid Duffy (Army West Point), Tessa Geddes (Boston University), Jalin Jenkins (Navy), Ava Kane (Loyola Maryland), Megan Krestinski (Bucknell), Kellie Linehan (American), Reagan Murdoch (American), Meghan Pedrani (Army West Point), Isabelle Pohmer (Lafayette), Morgan Quade (Loyola Maryland) who was also named Scholar-Athlete of the Year, and Molly Snow (Lehigh).
The recognition highlights both athletic achievement on the field and academic success off it among Patriot League women’s lacrosse players.
