Senior Racheli Levy-Smith has been recognized as the Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week for her performance from February 23 to March 1. This is the third consecutive week she has received this honor and the fifth time in her career.
In Holy Cross’ only game last week, Levy-Smith contributed to a 13-11 win over Bryant. She recorded 12 draw controls, one caused turnover, and one ground ball. Her defensive efforts helped limit Bryant to just one goal during the final 26 minutes of play as Holy Cross secured the victory.
Levy-Smith’s season totals now include 54 draw controls, 15 caused turnovers, and 11 ground balls. Throughout her career with Holy Cross, she has set a school record with 338 draw controls, along with accumulating 81 ground balls and 62 caused turnovers.
Holy Cross currently holds a record of two wins and three losses. The team will next face Dartmouth on Monday, March 2 at 3 p.m.
