Cost of college went up for all students at Assumption College

Tuition and fees rose 3.4 percent for 2018-19 at Assumption College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Massachusetts students paid $40,958 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $1,360 more than the $39,598 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 99 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 486 students received grants or scholarships totaling $11.4 million and 375 students took out student loans totaling more than $3.4 million.

Including all undergraduates (2,428), 1,963 students used grants or scholarships totaling $42.3 million, and 1,450 students took out $9.9 million in federal student loans.
