Santoni, Ehrenberg to compete in NEILA All-Star Game

Recent Nichols College graduates Scott Ehrenberg and Connor Santoni will participate in the 2022 New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA) East-West All-Star Game Friday night, June 3 at 7:00 p.m. at Anderson Stadium on the campus of Providence College in Providence, R.I.

Ehrenberg led the Commonwealth Coast Conference and finished amongst the national leaders in face-off wins in 2022 with a program-record 258 to go along with a .596 winning pct. (258-of-433). The Franklin, Massachusetts native set a Nichols single-season record for ground balls with 136 and has four games with 10-or-more GB's, including a season-high 13 against Vassar on the team's spring break trip to California. Ehrenberg's season highlights include a 20-for-21 effort at the X against Gordon on March 30 and a 15-for-16 contest against the Nor'easters. Ehrenberg's .574 career face-off winning pct. is No. 1 all-time at NC while his 331 career face-off wins is No. 3.

Santoni finished his senior campaign with a career-high 32 points on 16 goals and 16 assists. The Hartwich, Massachusetts native picked up his first collegiate hat trick against the Fighting Scots on March 30 and collected four points (1 G, 3 A) against Curry on April 9 and again at Roger Williams (2 G, 2 A) on April 20. Santoni registered eight multi-point outings in 2022 and collected an assist in the Bison's first-ever CCC playoff win, a 10-9 triumph at Salve Regina in the quarterfinals on April 30.

Ehrenberg and Santoni will compete for the East All-Stars and are the first to compete in the contest since MacKenzie Martin in 2018. A total of 13 student-athletes from the CCC will compete in the contest – seven for the West All-Stars and six for the East.
