Assumption University today announced that Eric Horsfield has been hired as the new Associate Athletic Director for Compliance.

"He quickly emerged from a talented pool of candidates, and his knowledge, leadership skills, and character led me to the conclusion that he was the perfect fit for our department. His vast experience in compliance will be invaluable for the department. I look forward to working alongside him to help best serve our student-athletes and coaches while fulfilling the mission of Assumption University athletics."
Horsfield comes to Assumption after a one-year stint as the Assistant Director of Compliance at Brown University. While at College Hill, Horsfield assisted in the student-athlete certification process for Brown's 34 varsity sports.

Before Brown, Horsfield served as the Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance at the New York Institute of Technology. He oversaw all compliance operations for the University's 14 Division II programs and was the sport administrator for the Bears' nationally ranked baseball program. He orchestrated the restructuring of the department's compliance manual, created and implemented several department policies, and oversaw compliance education for all athletic department stakeholders. He also participated in several campus-wide committees, including the head of the Athletic Inclusion Team and the Athletic Compliance Committee.
Previously, Horsfield served as the Assistant Director of Compliance at Castleton University, certifying academic and athletic eligibility for over 700 student-athletes across 29 varsity sports. He served on the Access Equity Committee and was the advisor for Castleton's Student-Athlete Advisory Council.
Horsfield graduated from Castleton University in May 2015 with a bachelor's in sports administration and earned his master's in athletic leadership from Castleton in 2017..
