WOMEN'S SOCCER ADDS THREE TO COACHING STAFF

Holy Cross has added Taylor Dempsey, Christopher Wasilewski and Nathalie Nidetch to the women's soccer coaching staff as assistant coaches, as announced by head coach Ben Graham.

Dempsey arrives on The Hill after spending the last year as the head women's soccer coach at Eastern Nazarene while also serving as a professor of sports management. Dempsey coached four All-Conference players, the Goalkeeper of the Year and an All-Sportsmanship player.

Dempsey has had several stops since her playing days. Prior to Eastern Nazarene, she spent two years as the athletic director and girls varsity soccer coach at Covenant Christian Academy. Dempsey spent one year as an assistant coach at Bentley University.

A 2014 graduate of Gordon College with a bachelor's degree in sport & wellness, Dempsey was a standout player for the Fighting Scots as she was the conference rookie of the year, a three-time All-Conference selection (2012, 2013, 2014) and a two-time All-New England honoree (2013, 2014). She received a Master's degree in organizational management from Misericordia University in 2017.

"I feel incredibly fortunate to have been given the opportunity to join the women's soccer staff here at Holy Cross," Dempsey said. "Ben Graham has already been a great mentor thus far and has a fantastic vision for the program that I'm looking forward to help foster so we can continue to build the culture we're striving for."

Wasilewski returns to the collegiate level after spending three years at the professional level as a video analyst with the New England Revolution (MLS) & New England Revolution II (USL1). He spent three seasons as the director of performance analysis at Providence College, his alma mater.

A two-time graduate of Providence with a bachelor's degree in marketing and a master's degree in management, Wasilewski has served as a staff coach with Bayside FC since 2017 and currently holds a United States Soccer Federation "D" license.

"I am excited to join the Holy Cross women's soccer program and work with this fantastic group of young women," Wasilewski said. "Thank you to Coach Ben Graham for this opportunity to work with the rest of his staff at the College of the Holy Cross. I am eager to get started and look forward to the bright future of this program at this phenomenal institution."

Nidetch joins the Crusaders after a decorated playing career. A 2019 graduate of Northeastern, she played on the Huskies' women's soccer team for four years and won several accolades including being named the 2017 New England Soccer Journal Goalkeeper of the Year, a three-time All-CAA honoree, a CAA regular season and conference tournament champion in 2016, and was named to the Jewish All-American team in 2018. Nidetch was called into the United States National team for the 2019 Maccabiah Games, where she helped guide the United States to a gold medal. After her time at Northeastern, Nidetch played several seasons in the Israeli Premier League with Hapoel Ra'annana Women FC and, most recently, Ramat Hasharon Women FC.

During her playing career, Nidetch got involved in coaching, working with several high schools and club teams, serving primarily as a goalkeeper coach. Since 2020, she has been a member of the Boston Dream Foundation, working as an advisor and mentor for the charity organization that works to bolster female soccer players in New England.

"I'm more than grateful for this opportunity to be a part of the College of the Holy Cross women's soccer program," said Nidetch. "Transitioning from player to coach has been extremely rewarding and I couldn't be happier to do it with a coaching staff, and group of players, who have welcomed me with open arms. I'm excited for the future of this team and thankful I get to be a part of it."
