HOW IT HAPPENED
It was the Cooper Creek show in the first half for the Greyhounds, as he shot 6-8 from the field and 4-6 from beyond the arc, dropping 16 points, more than all the other Greyhound starters combined. The first half was very back-and-forth, with Assumption taking a one-point lead into the break. This matchup consisted of seven ties and 14 lead changes. In the second, Creek continued good play, and Kani Glover stepped up with 14 points of his own to try to get the Greyhounds the win. Tough shooting nights from Kyle Hicks, Isiah Gaiter, and Njavan Stewart made it difficult for Assumption to pull away. AIC hung around and outscored the Greyhounds by one in the second to send the game to overtime. A crucial late turnover and missed buckets down the stretch added up, and the Greyhounds dropped another close conference game.
