Decker Named NE10 Rookie of the Week, Three Others Recognized
Ryan Decker was named the Northeast-10 Conference Rookie of the Week; three other Greyhounds received Honor Roll mentions as announced by the NE10 Conference office on Monday afternoon.
Ryan Decker picked up his first NE10 Rookie of the Week honor, as he scored one goal on Friday and was a +2 on the weekend in a 1-1 series against Saint Michael's. The freshman went 16-for-27 in the faceoff circle and blocked two shots.
Honor Roll
Rapolas Buivydas was efficient in two games, as he shot 72.7 percent from the field and 80 percent from the charity stripe. The sophomore forward averaged 10.0 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.0 assists in two games, as the Greyhounds went 2-0 on the week.
Ja'Lyn Armstrong paced the No. 17 Greyhounds in their 64-31 win against Saint Michael's College with 15 points on 6-for-10 shooting. Assumption is off to its best start of a season since the 2012-13 campaign.
Mike D'Ambrosio registered three points in a 1-1 week. On Friday night, he scored a goal and assisted on two others in Assumption's 5-1 win.
