HOLY CROSS TO CONCLUDE HOMESTAND AGAINST QUINNIPIAC

The Holy Cross men's basketball team will be back in action on Wednesday, Dec. 7, when it plays host to Quinnipiac at 7:00 p.m. The contest between the Crusaders and the Bobcats will be shown live by the Patriot League on ESPN+.

Holy Cross is wrapping up a four-game homestand, and has a 3-2 mark at the Hart Center so far this season. The Crusaders stand 3-6 overall on the year, and are coming off a 63-57 victory over Central Connecticut on Saturday. Senior forward Gerrale Gates has led the team by averaging 17.8 points, 8.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.6 blocked shots and 1.1 steals per game, in addition to connecting on 51.8 percent of his field goal attempts. Junior guard Bo Montgomery has added 12.7 points, 3.9 boards and 2.9 assists per contest, while freshman guard Will Batchelder is putting up 9.2 points and 3.0 assists per game.

Quinnipiac enters the game with an overall mark of 7-2 and an 0-1 record in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. After winning their first seven games of the season, the Bobcats have dropped two straight against Hofstra (72-70) and Niagara (64-60). Senior guard Matt Balanc leads the team by averaging 11.8 points and 3.9 rebounds per contest, while hitting 72.2 percent of his foul shots. Junior guard Dezi Jones (10.8 points per game), junior guard Luis Kortright (10.4 points per game) and senior forward Ike Nweke (10.0 points per game) and also scoring in double figures for Quinnipiac.

Following the game with the Bobcats, Holy Cross will travel to Northeastern for a 2:00 p.m. game on Saturday, Dec. 10.
