MEN'S BASKETBALL RETURNS HOME TO FACE COLGATE

The Holy Cross men's basketball team returns home on Wednesday, Jan. 18, when it plays host to Colgate at 7:00 p.m. The contest between the Crusaders and the Raiders will be shown live by the Patriot League on ESPN+.

Wednesday will be Dental Awareness Night presented by Evershine Dental, with the first 200 fans in attendance at the Hart Center receiving a gift bag with dental products.

Holy Cross enters the game with a mark of 3-3 in the Patriot League and an overall record of 6-13. In conference action, the Crusaders have defeated Bucknell (60-58), Navy (74-63) and Loyola (63-55), while falling to American (73-68 in overtime), Lehigh (76-58) and Lafayette (62-48). Holy Cross currently ranks third in the Patriot League in three-point field goal percentage defense (33.3 percent) and blocked shots (3.1 blocks per game).

Senior forward Gerrale Gates has led the team by averaging 17.5 points, 9.1 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.6 steals and 1.4 blocked shots per game, in addition to connecting on 50.8 percent of his field goal attempts. Junior guard Bo Montgomery has added 11.1 points, 3.8 boards and 2.6 assists per contest, while freshman guard Will Batchelder is putting up 10.3 points and 2.1 assists per game.

Colgate currently stands 12-7 overall and 6-0 in the Patriot League. The Raiders have won six straight games and are coming off a 71-65 victory over Bucknell on Saturday. Senior guard Tucker Richardson has led the team by averaging 15.4 points, 5.0 assists, 4.2 rebounds and 2.2 steals per game, while making 37.6 percent of his shots from three-point range. Senior center Keegan Records (12.1 points per game), senior guard Oliver Lynch-Daniels (11.9 points per game) and freshman guard Braeden Smith (11.7 points per game) are also scoring in double figures.

Following the contest with the Raiders, Holy Cross will travel to Bucknell for a 2:00 p.m. game on Saturday, Jan. 21.
