THE BASICS
Score: Assumption University 75, Adelphi University 66
Records: Greyhounds (7-11, 3-8 NE10), Panthers (8-11, 2-9 NE10)

HOW IT HAPPENED
Adelphi opened the game fast, as they opened up with a 9-0 run. Cooper Creek got the Greyhounds on the board with a dunk at the 16:58 mark. The two teams would trade baskets over the next few minutes, but Jacob Gibbons knocked down a pair of free throws halfway through the frame to cut the deficit to four points (17-13). From that point on, the Panthers outscored the Greyhounds 26-14, with Ronnie Silva scoring ten points, as the hosts went into the halftime break up 43-27.

Coming out of the break, Assumption went on an offensive tear as they went on a 33-10 run to take their first lead of the game (55-53), following a Njavan Stewart three-pointer with (10:27) remaining in regulation. The Greyhounds pushed their advantage up to seven points (60-53) following an Isiah Gaiter layup with 8:32 showing on the clock. The two teams traded baskets from that point on, but the Greyhounds would slowly pull away as they hit a few critical three-pointers down the stretch. Assumption converted four-of-six free- throws in the final minute to pick up a 75-66 win on the road.
