HOLY CROSS SET TO TAKE ON LEHIGH

The Holy Cross men's basketball team will be back at home to take on Lehigh at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 25. The contest between the Crusaders and the Mountain Hawks will be shown live by the Patriot League on ESPN+.

Holy Cross will be celebrating Summer in January during Wednesday night's game. Purple leis will be given out to the first 400 fans in attendance, while anyone wearing a Hawaiian or tropical themed shirt to the game can purchase $5 tickets at the box office.

Holy Cross enters the week with a mark of 4-4 in the Patriot League and an overall record of 7-14. In conference action, the Crusaders have defeated Bucknell (twice), Navy and Loyola (Md.), while falling to American, Lehigh, Lafayette and Colgate. Holy Cross currently leads the Patriot League in three-point field goal percentage defense (32.4 percent), while standing fourth in blocked shots (2.9 blocks per game), steals (6.8 steals per game) and field goal percentage defense (44.1 percent).

Senior forward Gerrale Gates has led the team by averaging 17.4 points, 9.2 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.6 steals and 1.3 blocked shots per game, in addition to connecting on 50.7 percent of his field goal attempts. Junior guard Bo Montgomery has added 11.3 points, 3.7 boards and 2.5 assists per contest, while freshman guard Will Batchelder is putting up 11.3 points and 2.0 assists per game.

Lehigh currently stands 11-8 overall and 6-2 in the Patriot League. The Mountain Hawks have won their last six games, and are coming off a 61-49 victory over Lafayette on Saturday. Senior guard Evan Taylor has led the team by averaging 14.7 points and 6.4 rebounds per game, while making 45.8 percent of his shots from three-point range. Sophomore guard Keith Higgins has put up 14.3 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.9 assists per contest, with sophomore guard Tyler Whitney-Sidney adding 13.3 points, 4.8 boards, 2.2 assists and 1.6 steals per game.

Following the contest with the Mountain Hawks, Holy Cross will travel to Army West Point for a 1:00 p.m. game on Saturday, Jan. 28.
