WOMEN’S GOLF FINISHES SECOND AT SADDLEBROOK SPRING KICKOFF | https://goholycross.com/
The Holy Cross women's golf team came in second place at the Saddlebrook Spring Kickoff on Thursday, March 9 to Saturday, March 11 in Wesley Chapel, Fla.
Holy Cross finished the tournament at 995 (+131) for second place only 11 strokes behind tournament champion Marian on the par-72 5,823 yard Saddlebrook Course.
The Crusaders had two golfers in the top-10 as junior Liz Garfield and freshman Neve Thanner finished tied for eighth place. Thanner and classmate Kate Hong finished with identical team-low 77 (+5) rounds. Thanner had a Holy Cross high seven birdies while freshman Caleigh Noonan, who competed as an individual had one of two birdies in the tournament.
COACH'S CORNER:
"After a poor first round, the team battled back to a second place finish," said Director of Golf Steve Napoli. "Neve Thanner recorded five birdies in a seven-hole stretch during the second round and had the lowest final round score in the tournament while finishing tied for eighth place individually with Liz Garfield."

- Holy Cross will be back in action next month at the St. John's Invitational on April 10 and April 11.
