WORCESTER, Mass. – City Manager Eric D. Batista announced Friday the return of the City Manager’s Clean Team, which will aid the City’s Quality of Life Team (QLT) with volunteer neighborhood clean-ups throughout the City.
The Clean Team will work its way through each Council District on different dates starting in District 4 on Saturday, July 8 from 9 a.m. until noon.
The City Manager, Councilors, members of the City Manager’s Office, QLT, and neighborhood volunteers will work collectively to pick up trash/landscape in targeted areas of each district as selected by the District Councilor.
“The return of the City Manager’s Clean Team is part of an effort to bolster our Quality of Life Team’s work in beautifying our City,” said Batista. “The Clean Team is an opportunity for members of my office to work directly with community members to help improve our neighborhoods. Everyone in the City deserves a clean neighborhood.”
In March, Batista announced expansion plans for the QLT, beginning with the appointment of Dan Cahill to Director of Constituent Services. Dan and his team are building the capacity to be present in each of the City’s neighborhoods to lead beautification efforts and other enhancement initiatives that will be felt and seen across the City.
The reactivation of the Clean Team is the next step in expanding the QLT.
