Student-to-teacher ratio in Hopedale Public Schools District remained unchanged in 2021-22 school year

The ratio of students to teachers in Hopedale Public Schools District remained unchanged in the 2021-22 school year, according to the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

There were 1,114 students being taught by 93.7 teachers in Hopedale Public Schools District, which covers schools within Worcester County and has a main office in Hopedale. That's an average of 11.9 students per teacher in the district during the 2021-22 school year.

In the previous year, Hopedale Public Schools District had 1,099 students and 92.6 teachers on staff.

Massachusetts has roughly one teacher for every 13 students, which is better than the national average of one teacher for every 16 students.

Despite the shortage, under-representation of ethnicities among teachers was found to be a concern. The Rennie Center reported that only nine percent of teachers are people of color.
