Student-to-teacher ratio in North Brookfield Public Schools District fell in 2021-22 school year

The ratio of students to teachers in North Brookfield Public Schools District fell by 13.9% in the 2021-22 school year, according to the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

There were 454 students being taught by 43.1 teachers in North Brookfield Public Schools District, which covers schools within Worcester County and has a main office in North Brookfield. That's an average of 10.5 students per teacher in the district during the 2021-22 school year.

In the previous year, North Brookfield Public Schools District had 503 students and 41.2 teachers on staff.

Despite the shortage, under-representation of ethnicities among teachers was found to be a concern. The Rennie Center reported that only nine percent of teachers are people of color.
